Cole Masaitis- Ghosts, Unrequited

Here’s the draft of my Ableton Live final performance project! This was my first time working with a live set in Ableton, I experimented rehearsing with key mappings with automations including Beat Repeat, Cut-O-Matic and two Auto-Filters, I definitely enjoyed it!

Have a great summer!!

Mitchell’s Final Draft

Forgot to post this earlier, but here is my Final Draft. Working on the automation and second verse, need to record some vocals for the next step. Excited to show you guys the finished project tomorrow. Readings have really helped me with knowing how I want to automate and how to do it. REally enjoying live.

Final Project Draft- Magnetically (To You)- Victoria Beasley

Writing this was both hard and fun. This is a rough draft, but it has almost every aspect of the song in it. I learned a lot about reaching out to artists and collaborating as I was able to get someone to collaborate with me on this piece! The readings helped me move my live project from my personal computer to one of the computers in the MIDI lab. We plan on performing the vocals, ukulele and bass ukulele next week, and will be re-recording soon. I will probably add drums. I may end up adding some steel drum.

Live Draft

This is my draft. Still need to add some vocals, but I am  trying to find somebody to rap on it. The readings had a very insightful quote that I enjoyed. “Always use your ears to judge effects, and go with your gut reaction.” I often have difficulty doing this because I want to follow some sort of formula. I need to learn to let go.

Mike Black {Final Project Draft 2}

Built up the 2nd 8 bars and added a change-up to close out the beat. Vocals will be added in the final draft (just me rambling in between where the beat breaks into a new sequence after each 8 bars). Tons of panning was involved and some automation as well.

Final Draft 2 Max Traubert

Here it is no keyboard or anything not done yet forgot to post this a few days ago shit. The readings helped they did not help.

John Rowley – Final Project Draft 2

I am going to add a little electro chorus to this thing but that will be hard because I’m not talented. The bounce also didn’t end when I wanted it to and I couldn’t fix it. The song is supposed to end when the drums stop. I looked at the comments before and added a bunch of panning. I think it added a bit to the song but I’m not sure if it’s too much. I’m going to add gunshots and silly samples.

At this point, I’m going less off of the readings that we did months ago and more off of experience that the readings helped me achieve. Logic Lesson 6 helped me learn the piano roll and how to write in, but that was a while ago and I have that down already. Logic Lesson 4 helped me with creating a new drummer track but I have known how to do that since week 4. I learned a lot from all of the lessons so at this point it’s a mix of all of them. It’s hard to narrow it down.
