daniel shea ableton draft

This song is called “Love Never Died” and is a remix that i did of a song made by Nytrix. I plan on replacing his vocals with mine and new lyrics for the final draft. The instrumental is my own work and is original though. The readings helped me with this song as I learned how to better use the arrangement view.

Daniel Shea – Love Never Died

From the readings I learned how to better make use of Abletons instruments. I’ve tried to cut back my use of audio effects, and learned from the readings how to better my workflow in Ableton Live.

Elaina’s Ableton Draft

hi FRIENDS this is my ableton draft.

I still need to add vocals and also add automation

turn up

Live Draft 3

I am really getting the hang of Live.  I like it a lot better than logic.  My timing is still a little of but I believe I can fix that by the time I perform.  I hope you enjoy.

Lucas Colley Live Project Draft 3

For this draft I have my almost completely finished song that I performed live minus a few fillers and some rises/ more FX stuff. I am really proud of this and really like the performance aspect of Live.

Erin McNeil Live Draft 3

*oops forgot to hit publish…..

This is my third draft for the live project.  It has been difficult to figure out how ableton fits together, even with all the help resources, if you change the tempo of a song and not unclick the warp option then you end up cutting off parts of the transferred audio for vocals.  I of course figured this out about ten min before this post so no vocals added yet but they’ve been recorded just not quite edited into the song.   Also the change of instrument options has caused an interesting change to the feel of the song from when I was using logic.

Dominique Giles [ Live Project Draft 3]

First of all, this is like ten days late.

Huge mistake on my part. Still feel like the need to complete/post it though.

For draft 3, my song was like 70% complete. I had come up with the lyrics and such and done a rough demo. But my vocals for the rap part are way off. There were also a few hiccups in the tempo area. At this point I was still a bit unsure if I was going to present the project live, but after some time in the lab and assistance with the mic I went ahead and decided to do so.

John Rowley Live Draft 3

This is so hard. Live is crazy. I finally got the hang of logic and now none of that matters. My “performance” is going to be laughable a train wreck. I’m not expecting to wow anyone. I’m with Max on the caffeine and self loathing. The live lessons helped. Youtube tutorials were the real MVP though. I was very interested in the DJing live lesson, the tempo change and track warping.

Terena Chao – Live Project Draft #3

For this draft I mostly played around with the song structure and how I wanted to lay the song out with the softstep. The song structure is currently Intro >> Chorus1 >> Break >> Chorus2 >> Outro. Vocals are in the works and will be present in the live performance. For this song I realized that there isn’t a part that really allows for lyrics so for my vocals I will just be vocalizing.

For some reason I can’t seem to access the Live 8 lessons linked on the syllabus. Every time I try to open a page it just shows me numbers like 3132, 33, and 34353637383940. However I am still able to see the Dochtermann and Huber chapters. I never knew what MIDI stood for so Huber Chapter 9 taught me that it stands for, “Musical Instrument Digital Interface”. Also the MIDI cable has 5 pins that each represents what signal is being passed through.
