Daniel Shea – Quicksand

I remember when we used more than just you and me

You told me that we would be more than just another day dream

Still I’m here waiting for you, all your friends call me blue because I won’t give up on you

Here I stand just another girl caught up in your quicksand but I won’t give up on you

Your just a boy caught up in your mind just give me some time I know that you’ll find that it’s you’ll miss me

Your just a boy caught up in your mind just give me some time I know that you’ll find that it’s you’ll miss me

Gabe logic song draft 2

okay, heres my ugly baby vocals. bam, they were just thrown at you.

VBeazy Logic Project draft 2

I have added some audio tracks, but these are not the final versions. I will be re-recording the bass after I practice more (this is my world debut for playing my bass ukulele), and rerecording the voice all in one go so it has the same quality throughout. I still have to record shaker and figure out if the placement/spacing of the voice is correct and determine how the end of the song will come together and where the other vocals I’ll be recording fit in.

Austin Logic Draft 2

This project is pretty tough, but I believe I am improving.  For this draft I added a drum kit track that sounds almost like a clap as well as a guitar synth that goes very well.  I am still thinking about lyrics, but I know this will be a rap song. The lessons in class really help me out with logic because its hands on, but the logic lessons online are an extreme help.  Logic lesson 6 really helped me by teaching me how to draw in the sounds.  Logic 7 lesson was also helpful by explaining how to work with the pitch and tempo.  The Dochterman 6 lesson was very helpful with the compression of the instrument.  Without the lessons I would not have been able to create anything.  I know this is very late but honestly I was debating dropping this class, but it is to interesting to drop.

Terena Chao – Logic Project Draft 2

So due to the disappearance of my USB drive I had no choice but to start over from scratch. I’m totally depressed that I lost the mix for my last draft but I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out. Once again I broke down the song into specific sections: Intro (0:00 – 0:24), Verse (0:25 – 0:41), Pre-Chorus (0:42 – 0:58), and Chorus (0:59 – 1:31). I tried to go for a more acoustic sound but I couldn’t help but throw in some beats and synths. Next up is trying to figure out my lyrics and which instruments to record. I’m thinking of a tambourine and maybe some shakers but we’ll see.

Logic Lesson 9 really helped me understand how to use plug-ins to adjust levels of each instrument and why it is necessary to do so. It also taught me how to pan instruments to the left and right in accordance to the stereo mix. By applying these concepts into my draft I was able to create a much more dynamic song by double tracking several instruments to create a fuller sound.

Logic draft 2 Max Traubert

This is super hard. I didn’t change much in this because I wound up throwing out a few hours worth of stuff I made that I couldn’t stand anymore and I never got around to recording any guitar for this, but I’m hoping to get that done by Friday. Again, the most helpful thing was Logic Lesson 6: Creating and Editing Midi  because all I’ve been doing is MIDI editing and fiddling. Also I probably won’t be able to do vocals until my throat stops hurting so much and I don’t sound like trash.

Sunyoung Jun Logic Draft 2

Todays lesson in class helped me but in the Evoc and the Bass sounds

The messing around with logic helped out

Mike Black {Logic Project Draft 2}

My first draft and I had some issues, so I trashed it and decided to start fresh. This one turned out pretty unexpected and experimental as usual. Still debating on the current arrangement and I plan on adding/replacing sounds here and there. Vocals will be written and recorded this week. All feedback is appreciated.

Dochtermann Chapter 7, which focuses on Compression will come in handy when I am ready for my final mix down. I will use a compressor to fatten-up my drums, and on other instruments so they sit well in the mix. EQ will be applied as well to fine-tune each instrument to my liking (Logic’s sounds tend to sound very rich).

Erin McNeil Draft 2 Logic

In this second draft I have finalized the instrumental intro and the piano for the vocal “intro” as well as what the chorus will sound like on piano.  I hope to add a harmony line in piano, in with the vocal once that has been added.  I am also trying to figure out what type of rhythm instrument to use, so far nothing seems to fit, I am open to suggestions.  The logic lesson 9 and Logic lesson 10 has helped teach me how to use the automation and adjust the compressor and limiter plug-ins.  Some of the music that has influenced this song is Circles by Greta Svabo Bech and both the original and the  remixes of Say My Name(OriginalOne and Two).

John Rowley- Logic Draft 2

At this point this thing is a disaster. I wanted it to be a mix of electronic and really chill beats but I found quickly that I am awful at the piano and painting in beats can be very time consuming. I mainly focused a lot on song structure this time. I just need to make sounds that aren’t all jumbled up and random and I might have something good. The hardest part of this one was trying to get a drum beat going. Vocals are going to be very interesting.

The Logic Lesson 6 has been the most helpful reading in this project. Being able to draw in the sounds that I want with the piano roll makes life so much easier. I couldn’t imagine having to actually record all of these sounds.
